Building for Buyers

Each year we see an emphasis on a specific quality in a home and get closer to the dream – a house built to truly live in! As a builder, you know the importance of building a home with these features, but predicting future trends is key. You want your homes to sell, quickly! As we enter 2019, we are seeing a collaboration of old and new concepts that buyers consider a “must have”.
The top five?
Guest Closets –
Keep the beloved drop zone/mudroom, but don’t stop there, guests need a place, too! Adding a guest closet where guests enter the home keeps clutter out of the living area and opens up the hallways. The joy of walking down a clean hall – no tripping here, my friend!
Large Walk-In Closets –
Noticing a theme? More space for those coats and shoes! Buyers want a closet for themselves, but this has to be a little more luxurious. Larger walk-in closets are on the rise, and for good reason. With the better lighting, easier access, and more storage they offer, there isn’t a comparison!
Dining Rooms that Flow –
It shouldn’t feel restricted or closed-off. Meal times should feel inclusive and to do this, we need dining areas that work with the space! A well-integrated room gives the best ambiance and makes everyone feel like the movement flows naturally from serving to dining.
Covered Outdoor Living –
Living and luxury can now extend to our yard. This is the year for indoor living to be brought outdoors! Screened porches, patios with cover that boast beautiful, comfortable furniture and fireplaces, we can’t get enough!
Smart Tech –
Last, but certainly not least, convenience! We can control everything with an app – from flipping on a light to adjusting music, from opening curtains to adjusting temperature, even home security – the tech convenience can’t be beat.
Stay tuned for more detail on these features!
